Carne Asada
Ingredients
- skirt steak
- meat marinade
- fresh cilantro, chopped
- cumin
- light brown sugar
- zest of lime and squeezed
- salt and pepper
- 4 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1/2 cup of oil
- pico de galo
- onion, diced
- roma tomato, diced
- fresh cilantro, chopped
- couple tablespoons of olive oil
- avocado crema
- avocado
- 1/4 cup greek yogurt or sour cream
- milk (to thin as needed)
- fresh cilantro
- lime
- garlic
- salt and pepper
Measure from the soul
I personally measure everything by feel unless specifically needed. If a recipe doesn't include measurements you'll need to infer by taste.
Cooking Directions
- Mix marinade and place skirt steak in plastic bag and refrigerate for 1 to 4 hours
- Mix ingredients for pico de galo and set aside
- Grill steak on high for about 3 minutes on each side (130 degrees)
- Remove from grill, cover with foil and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes
- Heat tortillas, assemble tacos, and enjoy
